The Respiratory Care Practitioner II (“RCP II”) is responsible for providing safe, quality respiratory patient care and teaching to patients and families. Additional responsibilities include collaboration with the health care team, participation in on-going feedback regarding performance improvement, implementation of clinical pathway/plan of care to guide patient care delivery.
The RCP II must demonstrate proficiency in adult general care areas, critical care areas, and Bronchoscopy procedures. As needed, this position may be assigned to perform Pulmonary Function Tests or act as a relief lead. Acting in a relief lead capacity includes organizing, delegating and coordinating the daily activities of the Respiratory staff.
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center (“ARMC”). It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of ARMC. The employee shall support ARMC’s strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan. The employee will also be expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to; Customer Service, Patient’s Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care and ARMC initiatives.
Consistently applies infection control policies/practices.
Uses assessment/protocol framework for the management of patient care
Provides quality care and maintains appropriate documentation.
Graduate of an AMA accredited School for Respiratory Therapy or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year acute care expereince in Respiratory Services or respiratory related care preferred.
