Job Posting Location: Columbus, OH Job Title: Sr. HR Business Partner/Sr. Manager Job Description: Position Summary: Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the Sr. Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) serves as a strategic partner and management coach to organization leaders, developing and executing equitable, proactive, business-focused initiatives that help build and support agilon’s commitment to people and culture initiatives. This position is focused on maximizing agilon’s effectiveness by providing expertise around people and culture to employees and leaders. The Sr. HRBP anticipates HR-related needs within the assigned client groups. In collaboration with Human Resources Business Partner team, this position maintains an effective level of knowledge and promotes and supports the business model, anchor partners, strategic plan, and culture. The successful Sr. HRBP will act as an employee champion and change agent while considering the unique needs of the market and overall business. Essential Job Functions: Advises and coaches C suite, executive leaders and members of management on methodologies to drive workforce planning and performance via talent management, employee engagement, succession planning, organizational effectiveness, and change management. Conducts regular meetings with respective client groups and/or their leaders to gain relevant business knowledge of their function. Cultivate an open line of communication with their clients to build trust, boost morale, and promote healthy workplace relationships. Work collaboratively with clients to continue to define and support the agilon culture. Partner effectively with key stakeholders and be able to excel working in an ambiguous environment. Understand and learn the business model. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues and conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Effectively applies performance management strategies to create a high-performance culture. Identifies, and develops recommendations for complex staff problems, (i.e., turnover, morale, etc.). Provide recommendations to managers on employment decisions, including promotions, compensation changes, hiring, corrective action, and separations that are rooted in equity, aligned with agilon’s values, and consistent across the organization. Collaborates with and serves as liaison to the HR Centers of Excellence (COE) teams to provide effective HR solutions to problems, plan and implement relevant initiatives, and build organizational effectiveness and high employee engagement. Generates and analyzes HR metrics and reports to, identify trends, issues, and outcomes; conduct root cause analysis and communicate trends and causes to leaders. Ensures the company’s programs, processes, forms, and practices follow federal, state, and local laws. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Minimum Experience 8 years progressively strategic general Human Resources experience. C suite experience a plus. 5 years dealing with complex Employee Relations issues. Deep knowledge of applicable state, federal and local employment laws. Education/Licensure: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; 8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s and 2 years of relevant experience, PHR, SPHR or similar HR cert preferred.
