Are you passionate about making a positive impact? Do you find fulfillment in working with the geriatric population and have a knack for caring for others? Do you want to help implement the highest-quality care standards? We are currently seeking dedicated Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join our team, contributing to medical care within a skilled nursing facility.
In this role, you will specialize in physical and rehabilitation medicine, focusing on pain management and related areas. Training is provided by our fantastic Regional Leads. Your expertise will be pivotal in enhancing the overall well-being of residents within the skilled nursing facility. This includes utilizing advanced pain management techniques, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and staying abreast of the latest developments in physiatry to ensure the highest quality of care.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine check-ups on patients to assess their health condition and identify potential issues.
  • Conduct examinations in response to acute changes in patient condition.
  • Effectively communicate with resident families or appointed representatives regarding resident status.
  • Manage and prescribe pharmaceuticals.
  • Collaborate with providers, DON/ADON, nursing staff, support staff, and administration to enhance patient care.
  • Consult and leverage specialty services as needed to provide comprehensive care to residents.
Requirements:
  • Hold a medical degree from an accredited program.
  • Be board certified in the relevant field of practice.
  • Maintain an active New York license to practice in the field.
  • Exhibit a self-driven and proactive approach to tasks.
  • Possess a strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics.
  • Have broad knowledge of common medications, including side effects and contraindications.
  • Display an in-depth understanding of legal medical guidelines and best practices.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Uphold a commitment to patient confidentiality.
  • Be compassionate and approachable in patient interactions.Compensation: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
