We are an industrial distribution company headquartered in Troy, MI, with annual global sales of approx. $80 million USD. We have operations in the US, Canada, Mexico, and across mainland Europe. We are looking for a qualified accounting professional who is fit to be our controller. This individual would work with management and the accounting team daily and, at times, would also communicate with vendors.

Assist management with important financial decisions

Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts, and statements to understand the financial state of the business

Supervise employees who work under the controller in preparing financial reports and budgets

Monitor a company’s financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs

Keep up-to-date on the financial market to understand how to maximize profits and find new expansion areas

Understand the financial status of a company to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state in good standing

```Qualifications:```
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a public accounting or corporate accounting role
- Strong knowledge of general ledger reconciliation, governmental accounting principles, and financial concepts
- Proficiency in using Sage Intacct and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective financial report writing
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

-Good understanding of international finance
