Job Summary

The laboratory technician will understand and follow SOP’s relevant to the preparation and extraction and digestion of the samples received in the lab. Technician will work in conjunction with the analyst to coordinate the workflow in the preparation of the samples to ensure the daily production goal is achieved. Technician will also keep the laboratory equipment in good condition and make sure that it is properly verified and calibrated according to the protocol of the company and the ISO 17025 guidelines.

Education and Experience

Associate degree in scientific field of study
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry (or scientific field of study)
At least 1 year of laboratory experience
Experience with ISO 17025

Skills/Experience

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Organizational skills.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory environment.
  • Experience in laboratory safety.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Time management skills to work on several different projects at once.
  • Flexibility to work and provide support to coworkers.
  • Ability to work different shifts as needed.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Good hand-eye coordination to use technical equipment with accuracy.

Primary Job Duties

  • Following AGQ USA Protocols
  • Follow Data integrity Protocol
  • Waste Management (hazard and none hazard materials)
  • Sample Processing/homogenization
  • Verification of environmental working conditions (Temperature and Humidity)
  • Equipment Verification (balances, pipettes, refrigerators etc.)
  • Assist with Sample registration/reception.
  • Sample extraction and preparation
  • Solution preparation
  • Mobile Phases preparation
  • Calibration Curves preparation
  • Analysis using other technics such as Spectrophotometer, Titrations, Brix, etc.
  • Cleaning of laboratory glassware.
  • Management of TATs
  • Training (peer training and external training) that includes records keeping
  • Following "5S" practices
  • Participation during internal and externa audits (showing tests)
  • Preparation and review of FDA packages.
  • Subpoenas-Preparation and Testifying
  • Assist with Internal and external Claim’s management (Investigation, written report, etc)
  • Assist with Root cause analysis for Non conforming work
  • PT's samples analysis
  • Assist with Sampling
  • Assist with Purchasing requests
  • Assists with other duties as assigned.
