This is a small (but mighty) team of analytics and data professionals who seek to empower our colleagues to make data-informed and strategic decisions backed by quality metrics and sound analysis. We treat data as a product, not just a service, by maintaining analytics and reporting infrastructure that powers our analysis and democratizes data accessibility for our business partners.

As an early member of the Analytics team, you’ll serve as a model for excellence in data-driven decision making. You’ll help shape data processes and values as the team expands and you’ll have the opportunity to grow and develop rapidly. Although your focus will be providing analyses, recommendations, and insights to the business, your work will span the full data stack.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and exemplify analytical best practices and work across the business to create consistency and quality analytics
  • Engage with multiple departments and stakeholders, including Finance, Marketing, Customer Success, Sales, Engineering, Product, Legal, and Professional Services
  • Analyze and explore first and third party data to uncover insights that develop into concrete action and outcomes
  • Contribute to and maintain the analytics and reporting foundational infrastructure, while evaluating and recommending new tools and technologies to power insight generation
  • Serve as a consultant in the design of data capture, metric definitions, and evaluate stakeholder requirements for upcoming projects from a technical and analytical perspective
  • Make recommendations that can be communicated with business and technical stakeholders in an empathetic and articulate manner
  • Establish a clear understanding of the metrics that drive key business outcomes and help focus the team on areas for improvement
  • Apply software engineering best practices to analytics code such as version control, testing, and continuous integration
  • Implement tests and alerts that ensure data pipelines flow smoothly and our data marts are production ready for reporting
  • Create visualizations and dashboards that are best suited for the intended audience

Your experience:

  • Deeply curious data enthusiast who enjoys understand the data lifecycle from ingest, through transformation, and into visualization
  • Experience in an analytics role with a passion for data and strong attention to detail. You should have a background in either: business intelligence, advanced analytics, analytics engineering, data engineering, data architecture, or data science.
  • Proven ability to work closely with stakeholders to understand a problem, capture and enhance the vision, conduct analyses and drive the project to completion
  • Excellent communicator, collaborative team player, and proactive project manager
  • A strong track record of problem solving and a “roll up your sleeves” mentality
  • Expert knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Mode, Looker, Tableau)
  • Experience with data manipulation and data visualization (e.g., dbt, SQL, Python, R)
  • Experience with data ingestion and orchestration tools (e.g., Fivetran, Airbyte, analytics warehousing)
  • Familiarity with software development using Docker, Git, Terraform, and AWS
