We are seeking an experienced Burner to join our team. This position will be responsible for the following duties:

• Performing advanced production activities on a variety of burning machines.
• Review blueprints, work orders, tooling instructions or other written specifications.
• Choose the correct material for the job according to work order.
• Set up machine track, select proper burning tip, set gas flow and machine feed rates.
• Determine processing specifications such as materials, forms, sizes, surface conditions, material defects dimensions, tolerances and operational sequences.
• Position work pieces for processing (may operate a combination of different machines).
• Operate burner machines during processing as required based on work load or business needs.
• Adjust controls to set cutting speed, depth and feed rates.
• Measure and examine pieces using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, scales and squares to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Perform quality control inspections on finished product.
• Clean equipment according to designated maintenance procedures.
• Diagnose problems and make necessary adjustments and remove scrap from machine.
• Coordinate and execute material handling to be processed including operation of overhead crane.
• Complete work order paperwork/documentation.
• Restock material.
• Responsible for adhering to/ensuring compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
• All other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

• Must have 1 year minimum of burning experience.
• Computer literate.
• Ability to stand/walk 90% of work shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required.
• Ability to function in adverse climate conditions (heat, cold).
• Knowledge of specific speeds, fuel settings, tips and plasma consumables required to cut various thickness of steel.
• Ability to tactfully deal with customers, internal Sales Representatives, coworkers and vendors as necessary.
• Must be able to read blueprints or drawings.

This will be a Night Shift Position. However, the position will start out of days and then move to night shift at an unspecified time.

• Must be able to work Day Shift to start and transition to Night Shift.
• Experience is required.
• Bending and stooping required appx. 50% of work day.
• Ability to step up (ascend) and down (descend) steps.
