An Unarmed Security Officer will conduct unarmed foot and vehicle patrol (interior and exterior). Additional duties include controlling access and egress; monitoring CCTV; composing detailed reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. They are following A.G.B.'s policies and procedures.

 General Duties

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
•  Sound alarms or calls to the police or fire department in case of fire or the presence of unauthorized persons
•  Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
•  Permit authorized persons to enter the property and monitors entrances and exits
•  Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that certified removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
•  Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post orders
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Assists persons who need directions or general information
• Perform other duties as assigned

 Minimum Qualifications

• A high school diploma or G.E.D. Some college preferred
• A valid driver's license
• United States Citizenship / Employment Authorization Compliant 
• C.P.R. Certified
• Certified Customer Service Training
• Eighteen years of age at the time of application submission.
• Must maintain strict professionalism and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information.
• Must follow all A.G.B. policies and procedures.
• Ability to effectively understand and communicate in English (verbally and in writing).
• Highly accountable, reliable, and prompt, with a strong work ethic. 
• Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills.

• Must handle the pressure of working with high volume general public (constantly to occasionally depending on assignment).
• It may require periods of walking throughout the facility.

• Must be able to work longer hours based on departmental needs.
• Stand or walk constantly (up to an entire shift) on surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet).
• Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift.
• Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties.
• Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
• Run as needed.
• Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping/fingering while using phone, notepad, writing reports, and other administrative tasks.
• Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to the average level required) to observe, read, interact with public and co-workers, and view security monitors; includes hand/eye coordination.
• Work in various environments, including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain, or heat.
• Constant mental alertness and attention to detail are required while setting priorities and following up on assignments.
