Role: Medical Assistant
Location: Rochester, NY
Contract Duration: 13 weeks contract with a possibility of extension
Pay Rate: Up to $19.50/hr
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week Monday to Friday
Shift: M-F 7:30a-5:30p
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma and MA certification required
Current BLS from the American Heart Associate
Must be able to float as needed
Must be able to work independently in a fast pace movement
Must have Ambulatory and Pediatrics experience
Adaptable and willingness to work with others, Dependable, Punctual.
Must have recent flu vaccine
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Rooming patients, taking vitals, EKGs, prior authorizations, and patient education
Work in collaboration with the physician(s) and other ambulatory staff
Taking medical histories
Explaining treatment procedures
Preparing patients for examinations
Assisting the Physician during examinations
Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
Performing basic laboratory tests
