AFV Partners is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Justin, TX

Maintenance Technician

AFV seeks a technician to ensure clean and well-maintained facilities for tenants and

customers. This individual will perform routine maintenance on car wash equipment,

monitor the overall cleanliness of the facilities, and assist customers with any questions or

concerns. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good communication

skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Keeps the maintenance log accurate and up to date.
  • Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
  • Follows written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager or tenants.
  • Collaborates with the property team and contractors as needed.
  • Reads and follows manuals and other written instructions.
  • Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools
  • Perform routine maintenance on car wash equipment, including cleaning nozzles, hoses, brushes, and floor grates, checking fluid levels, and replacing supplies as needed.
  • Inspect the properties regularly, identifying areas that require cleaning, repairs, or maintenance and promptly reporting any issues to management.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the properties, including sweeping, mopping, and removing trash from car wash bays.
  • Assist with customer inquiries, resolving any issues or complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment, notifying management when restocking is needed.
  • Respond to emergencies or equipment malfunctions, shutting down equipment as needed and notifying management.
  • Assisted with opening and closing procedures, ensuring the facility was secure and ready for operation.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance, which include wearing proper uniform attire.
  • Anticipate, prevent, identify, and solve problems as necessary.
  • Carry out weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least two years of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience is strongly preferred but not required.
  • A certification in building maintenance is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Vital customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, bending, and reaching.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
  • Positive attitude and ethics that support our values and culture.
  • Motivated self-starter willing to work independently and with team experience using hand and power tools.
  • Good organization skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license/clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
