Counseling Coordinator will be responsible for compliance, design and implementation of the counseling program. Classroom teachers will work with the Counseling Coordinator to recruit and engage target students into the 21 CCLC programs. They will design a process for working with staff at the school to link school day learning to after school learning for students who are at risk academically by: identifying the targeted students and providing student data (academic, economic, behavioral, and special needs information) in a feedback loop through consistent, weekly two-way progress reports.
Youth Development outcomes gathered by the Counseling Coordinator: student discipline records (suspensions and school behavior incidents), number of school-day absences and attendance rates, results of pre- and post-Search Institute Developmental Relationship and Social Emotional Competency surveys, and results of classroom teacher surveys indicating teachers’ perceptions of students’ behavior in the classroom.
-Family Engagement outcomes gathered by the Counseling Coordinator: contact records documenting parents’ level of participation in family engagement events, parenting classes and referrals to community resources and Parent Surveys to determine satisfaction with program activities and knowledge of community resources.
The Counseling Coordinator will work with school staff to ensure that students identified by Lancaster City Schools as needing behavioral health services will be referred to mental health supports.
