Senior Financial Advisor

AFIN Family Wealth Management is a firm specializing in holistic financial planning for individuals and businesses. Our goal is to make financial planning understandable and accessible by offering personalized, hands-on service. We educate our clients about financial concepts and products, and take the mystery out of investing, insurance, estate conservation, and preserving wealth.

Job Summary

  • Under general supervision, will provide one on one financial guidance to clients by reviewing their existing financial situation.
  • Formulating and implementing financial plans.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement an investment strategy suggesting investments and insurance products for client approval, including managed investment accounts, mutual funds, annuities, equities, life insurance, etc.
  • Onboarding of new clients and maintaining client base, keeping financial plans up-to date and acquiring new clients on an ongoing basis.
  • Contact clients periodically to determine if there have been any changes in their financial status.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.

Required Experience and Education:

  • 5 years successful financial services sales experience, with a verifiable commission history of at least $300,000 GDC and/or $30 million or more in expected AUM
  • Bachelor's degree or above preferred
  • Life and Health Insurance license
  • Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65)

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat and MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent customer service, communications, and organizational skills
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Positive attitude, high energy, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to exercise good judgment by recognizing urgency and setting priorities
  • Must pass criminal and credit background checks
  • Ability to quickly understand new concepts and learn new technology and systems
  • Knowledge of investment products, policies & procedures is required.
  • Demonstrated ability and commitment to goal-based planning and advice
  • Demonstrated success in client acquisition, cultivated and maintained client relationships

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide financial planning support to clients
  • Talking to clients to determine their expenses, income, insurance coverage, financial objectives, tax status, risk tolerance, or other information needed to develop a financial plan.
  • Provide strategic advice across a variety of financial products and services (debt management, cash management, insurance coverage, investments)
  • Prepare financial plans, check their accuracy and implement financial plans
  • Managing and updating client portfolios
  • Building and managing client base
  • Executes trades, as required
  • Stay up-to date with new industry trends and research market
  • Comply with all industry rules and regulations
