Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing field service and technical support for computer hardware and equipment. Your expertise in mechanical knowledge, OEM systems, and software troubleshooting will be essential in ensuring the efficient operation and repair of equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform equipment repair and maintenance tasks in accordance with company guidelines
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools
- Install, configure, and upgrade software applications on various computer systems
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems and prevent equipment failures
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide timely solutions
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including repairs performed and parts used
- Provide training to customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree is a plus
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software troubleshooting, and IT systems
- Familiarity with OEM systems and equipment repair procedures
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to pass drug test and background check
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
