Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care for our animal patients. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to the overall well-being and health of the animals under our care.

Responsibilities:

- Assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures and examinations

- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians

- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results (IDEXX)

- Take and develop X-rays

- Maintain accurate medical records

- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and medication administration

- Perform animal blood draws, and other diagnostic procedures

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary clinic

- Maintiain composure in high stress and busy situations

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or relevant animal care experience preferred but not require. We are open and willing to train the right candidate

- Knowledge of animal husbandry and care practices

- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively (small and large breed dogs)

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
