We are seeking an experienced Dental Surgery Assistant to join our dynamic teams in Manhattan on a part-time or full-time basis. As a vital member of our team, you will travel between our East Village, Upper West Side, and Midtown practice locations providing critical support in both preoperative and postoperative phases, ensuring that our patients receive unparalleled oral surgery, endodontic, periodontic, and prosthodontic services. Locations:

• East Village Dental Center - 55 Avenue C, East Village, New York, NY 10009
• 286 Madison Dental - 55 Avenue C, East Village, New York, NY 10009
• Concerned Dental Care of Upper West Side - 657 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• Alternating Saturdays

Responsibilities:

• Preparing patient charts, recording treatment plans, and updating dental records
• Operating X-ray and 3D scanning equipment and developing radiographs for diagnostic purposes
• Preparing and sterilizing oral surgery instruments, materials, and equipment following infection control and biohazard protocols
• Assisting the Surgeon with all chairside procedures, including operatory setup, anesthesia administration, and cleanup
• Preparing patients for surgical procedures and monitoring vital signs during treatments
• Providing patients with information on oral health care, treatment plans, and postoperative care instructions
• Monitoring and ordering supplies for dental implant treatments as required
• Maintaining instruments and equipment to ensure optimal operation
• Performing other duties and tasks as periodically assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Certified dental assistant program (preferred)
• 5 years of dental surgical assisting experience assisting Oral Surgeons, Endodontists, Periodontists, and Prosthodontists (required)
• Oral surgery assistant certification (preferred)
• Radiography certification (preferred)
• CPR Certified
