Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Fire Alarm Inspector to join our fire business unit.

Position Summary

An AFA Fire Alarm Inspector’s primary functions and responsibilities include inspecting and testing fire alarm systems to the prescribed standards and fire code. Primary area of coverage will include, but not limited to, Southern PA, Maryland, Delaware, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia.

Position Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide the inspection and testing of fire alarm equipment to comply with NFPA72 standards as well as state and local codes
• Maintain complete and accurate inspection report documentation, including deficiency repair recommendations
• Communicate with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site
• Interact professionally with customers
• Follow and maintain structured inspection schedules
• Communicate inspection status, changes or problems to supervisor or manager
• Work overtime when needed
• Complete required training and certifications within the time requirements for this role
• Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures
• Maintain assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 year’s experience of performing fire alarm inspections, basic service and maintenance of fire alarm systems
• Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional experience in other areas of the industry
• Experience with various manufacturers. I.E., Notifier, Fire-Lite, Potter, Silent Knight, EST, etc.
• NICET II certification

Covid-19 Vaccination required for certain roles.
