Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Budget Analyst support is needed for the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Engineering Support Office (RS30), to support the Space Systems Department (ES)
  • Serves as a budget analyst within the Space Systems Resource Team (RS30), supporting SLS and HP on all day-to-day resource/budget activities.
  • Work and coordinate closely with the RS30/XP04 SLS Budget Analysts and management supporting SLS program funding requirements daily. Address all SLS XP04 actions, i.e., funding requirements for ES Non-ESSCA contracts/requirements and any actions/issues regarding obligation/cost issues in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for approving and monitoring all ES HP and SLS ITIMS requests that are generated, assuring that all resource/budget information is correct and authorized for requested ES procurements.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and validate resource/budget information and technical support documentation submitted for request of Purchase Requests (PR) in support of ES SLS and HP procurements. This includes PR’s for both material purchases and incremental funding for several contracts. Primary focal point between Procurement and COTR for funding the Cepeda Contract Task Orders supporting ES.
  • Prepare status for ES/XP04 SLS Management to track the progress of weekly/monthly cumulative status by branch to report back to the SLS Program Office.
  • Prepare all weekly and month-end analyses utilizing the SLS Budget ODC and Labor Trackers on a daily basis for FY22 and FY23 funds. Budget Trackers support planning, submittals, technical/management approvals, P-Card purchases, and PRs/status inclusive of Commits, Obligations, Costs totals and remaining balances per WBS by branch. Development and modification of these SLS Budget Trackers is on-going to verify all funding expenditures, planned expenditures, and remaining budgets supporting ES/SLS. Total Budget for ES/SLS FY22 was approximately $15M, and FY23 reflects approximately $19M.
  • Serve as backup to fund any ES SLS Flight Hardware (FHS), Facilities Work Requests (FWR) funding requirements in support of ES/XP04 management and work with appropriate Facilities personnel to assure that funds are costed in a timely manner.
  • Input and modify any change requests for FTE/WYE labor information into both the CWP and My Plan databases.
  • Track the progress of ES SLS and HP procurements and coordinate any issues between the requestor and the NSSC to ensure that these Procurement Requests are being completed in a timely manner to comply with the SLS schedule timeframe.
  • Support RS30 and XP04 Management on any ES-related issues that need to be addressed.
  • Attending all CFO and RS30 Business Office Meetings, including any safety topics discussed each month.
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work from multiple customers, meeting or exceeding deadlines.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and communicate effectively in writing, person-to-person and in meetings.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and analytical skills and be able to maintain confidentiality of data.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • HS Diploma 8 years or greater of related experience
  • BA/BS Degree 6 years or greater of related experience
  • Master’s Degree 4 years or greater of related experience
  • Candidates for this position must possess an HS Diploma or equivalent

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficient MS Office Applications
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint
• A knowledge & understanding of automated financial systems and budgetary report generation

Highly Preferred:
• SAP and Business Objects (BOBJ) or other accounting systems
• Government Financial Processes

Work hours:

Here at Aeyon we believe in creating an environment that fosters a healthy work/ life balance.
