Torch Technologies is currently seeking a Budget/Finance Analyst to support Government Program Lab Managers with their program administration. The candidate will be on-site supporting both government and contractor leads with budget preparation, reporting and cost/schedule variance analysis for multiple programs supporting multiple government customers. The candidate will be accessing government systems to collect the data required for budget variance analysis with recommended solutions. The successful candidate must possess knowledge and capabilities related to performance management, organizing and planning and problem solving, analysis, adaptability and self-motivation, reliability and accountability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities and areas of support include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide support related to budgeting, reporting and cost analysis across multiple labs.
• Work with government leads and lab managers to develop and establish baselines and help monitor, and manage the commitments associated with each program in order to successfully execute goals within program requirements.
• Track hours by employee and labor category to include assessment of burn out dates by employee
• Prepare and maintain presentation materials for top level management associated with budgets for multiple labs
• Analyze budget performance to determine whether the desired results are being produced and if not, provide insight into the variance and work toward possible solutions in a timely manner.
• Estimate future budgetary needs

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Experience Requirements:

• General
  • Qualified applicant will have good communication (oral and written) skills and the ability to establish and maintain a close relationship with internal and external customers as well as work independently and take a proactive role to assure that items are completed on or ahead of schedule.
  • Candidate must be expert in Microsoft Office to include –Excel and Power Point. This includes but is not limited to pivot tables, formulas, macros.
  • Applicant should be detail oriented with good analytical skills, able to handle multiple deadlines and priorities, and be a team player.
  • Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Math, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Position requires that candidate possess a final security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position
• Preferred
  • Proficiency with DoD systems like Shared Data Warehouse
  • Experience with Army government funding and execution processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Access and/or Visual Basic
