- Assist in executing the strategic plan and management of the Surfaces product category in close collaboration with the product manager.
- Accurately review, process, and enter data related supplier purchase orders, order acknowledgements, invoices, rebate reports, competitive activity reports and other supplier information.
- Set up, maintain, and review surface inventory items in the system for integrity and consistency.
- Update price pages, maintain and track product merchandising and assist in the implementation of new product launches.
- Assist the product manager on special customer quotes and update the system for all regular and annual price increases.
- Set up product consignment items, assist in monitoring consignment inventory and assist in processing of supplier material claims.
- Maintain and update quotes, vendor reports and review complementary stock items. Set up and maintain items in One Source.
- Assist the product manager with marketing projects to promote and grow product sales and assist in tracking co-op dollars from suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge in the building materials industry helpful
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
- Self-starter, works smart and looks for ways to learn and improve.
- Team player with ability to collaborate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing or related field preferred
- 3 years of recent experience in product marketing, purchasing, inventory, or product management
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge and experience with DMSI Agility ERP software helpful
- Previous work experience in the distribution or building materials industry.
