Job Title: Landscape Maintenance Laborer

Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Landscape Maintenance Laborer to join our small company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the upkeep and appearance of outdoor spaces, including lawn care, plant care, equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and cleanup.

Key Duties May Include:

Lawn Care:

• Operate lawn mowers to mow lawns and maintain a neat and uniform appearance.
• Trim and edge grass along sidewalks, driveways, and flower beds using appropriate tools.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides as directed to promote healthy turf growth.

Plant Care:

• Prune shrubs, bushes, and trees to promote healthy growth and maintain desired shapes.
• Assist with planting flowers, trees, and other greenery according to landscape plans.
• Water plants, flowers, and turf as needed to ensure proper hydration, using irrigation systems or manual methods.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Clean and maintain landscaping tools and equipment after each use to prolong their lifespan.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other machinery as needed.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly for repairs or replacements.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Handle chemicals, fertilizers, and pesticides safely and responsibly, following manufacturer instructions and safety data sheets.
• Report any safety hazards or concerns immediately

Cleanup:

• Collect and dispose of leaves, branches, and other yard debris to keep the work area clean and tidy.
• Assist with cleanup after landscaping projects to ensure that the site is left in a presentable condition.
• Dispose of waste materials properly, following company guidelines and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in landscaping or related field preferred.
• Ability to operate landscaping tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.50 per hour
