The Lead/Senior Director of Marketing Operations will support extending our leadership position through the development and implementation of customer-focused promotional strategies focused on AES' brand, capabilities and solutions. The individual will be responsible for strategic global planning, advertising, creating the martech strategy and implementing the supporting tools, including the management of the company's web presence. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role is responsible for driving the efficiency, effectiveness and scalability of AES' marketing efforts.

The successful candidate enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced and changing environment, and is comfortable leading global cross functional teams with a results- and continuous improvement-driven attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement customer-focused marketing strategies and plans in support of AES' purpose and growth objectives
• Build, lead and develop a hard-working team focused on results and continuous improvement
• Design and implement global marketing processes, workflows and automations to drive efficiency, value creation and continuous improvement
• Oversee the development and management of AES' 360 advertising campaigns
• Define the approach to local annual marketing plan development and planning
• Aligned with the marketing strategy and metrics for success, oversee comprehensive integrated marketing campaign strategies that leverage and optimize channel usage, including web, social media, email, direct mail, content marketing, events, etc
• Direct creation of customer segment target audiences and personas with defined channels, personalized messaging and content
• Create global customer thought leadership approaches and materials
• Define, track and report on key performance metrics to measure the impact of marketing efforts and improve decision making
• Provide strategic vision for building and managing web presence and associated analytics at AES
• Assess use of digital customer-focused tools across markets and creating standards, governance and best practices across the organization
• Manage and optimize the Marketing Operations budget effectively
• Work closely with Marketing Insights, Solutions Marketing, Local Marketing, Global Communications and other teams to drive marketing strategies aligned with AES' business objectives

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a related field; MBA is a plus
• 15 years of marketing experience with roles of increasing responsibility in a global organization and 3 years of sole responsibility for marketing operations
• Energy industry or relevant business-to-business industry experience preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strategic thinker with strong organizational and project management skills
• Track record of successful management of marketing technology and web platforms
• Ability to identify and manage third party vendors
• Experience in implementing and overseeing work management tools such as Wrike
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of industry trends and standard methodologies
• Execution- and performance-driven leader with proven ability to find and capitalize on opportunities for continuous improvement
