Aerotek is Hiring a Field Service Technician Near Austin, TX
Description:
Large client hiring field service technicians in the Texas, LA, AR, and KS areas. Requires travel of sorts.
Requirements:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in field service and/or industrial maintenance settings
- Experience with PLC, automation, robotics, schematics, 480V, hydraulics, and CNC experience is a plus
- Open to traveling overnight as needed in assigned region
Responsibilities:
- Install machines and accessories at customer sites. Installation includes all necessary assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating and wiring of machines
and accessories.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines and accessories at customer sites.
- Test operation of machines and accessories after completing installation or repair
- Train customers on functions of the machines
- Learn new machines features and accessories as they become available
- Complete reports documenting installation, assessment of reported problem, repairs completed, parts installed
- Utilize various test equipment for trouble shooting purpose, indicators, test bars, clamp force, gages, etc.
