Position Summary

The Accountant performs all accounting duties for Kiski Precision Industries (a subsidiary of Aerotech, Inc) located in Leechburg, PA.

Essential Functions

• Prepare journal entries, invoices, payments, account statements, reports and other records 
• Answer all vendor and customer inquiries
• Verify and post details of business transactions
• Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret company financial position for other managers
• Interact regularly with accounting personnel at Aerotech headquarters
• Prepare for and assist with corporate wide annual financial audit
• Assists in month and year-end closings
• Prepare analysis of accounts as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals as they relate to finance, financial reports, and documents
• Skilled at responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, agencies, or co-workers
• Ability to write documents for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format
• Ability to effectively present information to management
• Skilled to calculate figures and amounts and apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, discounts, interest, commissions, ratios and percentages to practical situations

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university
• At least 6 months on relevant experience
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Work Conditions / Physical Requirements

• All work is done onsite in Leechburg PA
• Guidance, training, and support provided by our parent company in Pittsburgh as well as onsite staff in Leechburg
