Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled General Manager to oversee our entire production processes (certified welding) and ensure efficiency in our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, implementing production plans, maintaining quality standards, communicating with customers. This position is for a new division of a small company so the General Manager will be responsible for everything from the moment we receive raw material until the product is shipped. Other operational responsibilities may include coordinating maintenance, contractors, and dealing with equipment breakdowns. The GM will be responsible for all activities that occur during working hours. Because this is a small business the GM will have multiple responsibilities and will have to assist in all aspects of the operations. This is not a desk job, a receiving job, an assembly job, an inspector job or a quality job, it is a combination of everything needed to keep the business moving in the right direction while the owners focus on growth.
Duties:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands.
- Monitor production metrics and implement process improvements.
- Receive orders and Develop work instructions (travelers, routers) for every new order.
- Communicate with customers and host customer visits.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate production staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
-Maintain the quality requirements.
-Receive all new orders.
-Inspection of all completed orders.
-Coordinate all outgoing shipments.
Experience:
-Must be driven, growth oriented, quality focused, hardworking, open, honest and respectful
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, operations, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Manager or similar role
-Experience with NADCAP requirements, audits.
-Experience with NADCAP welding
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles is a plus
