About the Role

The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (Deputy CISO) to manage the day-to-day operations of the Information Security team. The successful candidate will work closely with the CISO to develop, implement, and maintain the Information security program, and will be a key member of the incident response team. This hands-on role requires deep knowledge of essential security practices, experience in managing and developing teams, and the ability to effectively communicate across the business and technology at all levels. The Deputy CISO will be responsible for security policy development, technology solution selection and implementation, security control monitoring, and the design and implementation of a robust application security program. They will also be tasked with improving process designs, aligning with NIST CSF 2.0, and managing relationships with internal and external partners.Applicants for the Deputy CISO position must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, with at least 10 years of experience in the information security industry, including a minimum of 4 years in a senior leadership role. Advanced knowledge of security practices such as vulnerability management, incident response, and endpoint protection is essential, as is familiarity with industry frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 Type II. The role requires a strong technical foundation in security architecture, threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and cloud security. Professional skills qualifications include strong communication, strategic problem-solving, decision-making abilities, and strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Experience in the financial services industry is desired.
