**Job Description**
AECOM is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to be located in Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities include:
Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team. Analyzes complex technical issues and guides solutions to challenging issues within a team within their function, business unit or technical discipline, using standard operating procedures/methodologies as a basis and defining new procedures and methods as needed
Accountable for the results of the team or the process establishing goals and objectives and adherence to budget
Contributes by making day-to-day decisions for a departmental sub-function, small to mid-size client as:
Manager of the team managing all aspects of the work
As the in-house expert on specific complex technical solutions or processes
Leads proposal efforts for geotechnical engineering services including scope, schedule and budget.
Effective management approach to retain and motivate a team. Mentoring and technical development of Geotechnical staff. Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Collaborates with others with the ability to make autonomous decisions guided by policies, procedures and business objectives
Mentoring and technical development of Project Engineers.
Demonstrates innovation to deliver technical and operational excellence
Performs quality control review of design reports, calculations, or drawings.
Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures
Develops the Engineers cost estimates for projects.
Project Manager for Geotechnical projects or Geotechnical component of large projects in charge of scope, schedule and budget
Actively involved with clients and business development
**Qualifications**
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical/Geological Engineering 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience.
PE license required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology preferred.
18 to 25 years of related experience in Geotechnical Engineering projects.
Solid understanding of performing and managing projects and people
Ability to manage projects within budget, scope & schedule as well as effectively managing engineering staff.
The ability to work well within a team

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $130,000.00 - $170,000.00.
