Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to be based in Denver, CO .

This position is expected to begin May 2024.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Builds analytic and design skills.

  • Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.

  • Must have completed 1 year of study in qualified program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Interest in Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) or Energy Conservation in Buildings

Additional Information

  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

  • Relocation assistance may be available for this position.

  • Offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $20 - $25/hr.
