Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Interior Designer to be based in Washington DC .

This position is expected to begin in Summer 2024.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for assisting in initiating and developing design and construction document drawings through completion for assigned projects in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project’s discipline engineers.

  • Applies a solid level of understanding within a specific discipline.

  • Basic understanding of the design process.

  • Basic understanding of the purpose and use of vendor documents, reviews them for accuracy and resolves discrepancies.

  • Basic understanding of the role of each of the other disciplines.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or in another related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Revit, Photoshop and InDesign.

  • Understanding of program, space planning and renderings.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Non-Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (Washington D.C. locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr.
