Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join our Central Wisconsin Remediation team (Oshkosh, Stevens Point, Middleton). We are seeking candidates who will be able to immediately contribute to the successful delivery of existing projects and promote growth in existing and new markets. This full-time position within our Environmental group will manage site investigation/remediation projects. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate investigation/remediation project experience, require a strong focus on health and safety, be detailed orientated, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team. This position is available for a Hybrid role for the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Managing scope, schedule, and budget for mid to large-sized investigation/remediation projects

  • Building strong client relationships

  • Client and regulatory correspondence

  • Technical report writing and review

  • Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits

  • Analyzes and applies solutions to atypical and/or semi-complex and challenging issues within area of expertise

  • Preparing cost estimates and proposals

  • Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders

  • Coordinating work schedules with AECOM staff and subcontractors

  • Responsible for quality control of tasks

  • Mentor project Jr. staff

  • Will require some regional travel for field visits

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Environmental Engineering, Geology or closely related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle check

  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of project management experience with verifiable experience managing investigation/remediation projects

  • 10 years of experience in environmental consulting

  • Master’s Degree is a plus

  • Experience managing projects with active remediation systems, implementation of system design, and remedial excavations.

  • Experience implementing various remedial strategies to achieve No Further Remediation (in-situ remediation, institutional, engineering, and administrative controls).

  • Experience working with Wisconsin environmental regulatory agencies.

  • Experience communicating and coordinating field work with staff, subcontractors and vendors.

  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training

  • Professional Engineer License in Wisconsin

  • Professional Geologist Licensure

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000.
