Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our growing Northern, CA practice in either the San Francisco or Oakland office.

The Electrical Engineer will join a multidisciplinary, collaborative team with a range of expertise supporting the expansion of their knowledge base with the ability to travel and gain field experience.

As part of our team, you will support a diverse tapestry of work across markets like Commercial, Federal (Military/DoD), Healthcare, Higher Education, Sports Rec and Science Tech markets, including landmark projects in the industry. You will have opportunities to take on complex challenges and pioneer innovative solutions from strategy and design through project realization.

Join a practice filled with professionals pioneering Energy Conservation and Zero Carbon initiatives, focusing on renewable energy projects for high-performance buildings. Contribute to decarbonization and electrification efforts while enjoying focused growth opportunities in sustainable practices and skills enhancement training centric to AECOM's Sustainable Legacy. 

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Builds analytic and design skills.
  • Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an
  • experienced engineer.
  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or related field 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EIT
  • Prepare electrical design calculations, utilize electrical design software
  • Perform lighting design and foot-candle calculations, utilizing light design software
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, AGI 32 and SKM software
