Job Description
AECOM is serving as the General Engineering Consultant on this first-ever Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain contract for the Department of Transportation (GDOT). As the General Engineering Consultant, the AECOM team will be serving as the owner's representative to oversee the Developer during the final design and construction of this $1.2B project along SR 400 in the northern suburbs of metropolitan Atlanta. Design and Construction will begin later this year and likely carry into 2030/2031.
The Compliance Lead (Engineering) will serve as a member of the Post-Let Management Team. The position will be located in the project field office near the project corridor to be determined by the Developer. The anticipated start date for this position is Mid-May 2024.
Responsibilities :
Assists the Project Chief Engineer in tracking the status of the engineer non-conformance report or confirming the Developer’s completion of corrective actions associated with non-conformance reports related to Engineer items.
Administer and participate in Product and Process Audits to verify the Developer’s adherence to the database file documents.
Participate in audit follow-up meetings to review draft external audit reports
Assists the Engineer Owner Verification Manager in oversight of the Engineer Owner Verification staff by monitoring and verifying specified post-let instruction procedures are being adhered to.
Works with the Commercial Business Lead and Project Civil Engineer evaluation on modification or new processes to correct Post-let Management team performance, identify training or additional support that may be necessary, and to suggest updates to the Post-let Instruction as the project progresses.
As needed, assist the Project Chief Engineer in preparing the engineer section of the Post-let Management team quarterly audit.
Qualifications
Minimum:
BS Civil Engineer with 6 years of related highway engineering construction experience
Proficiency in GDOT projects and procedures.
Experience with Federal, State, and Local regulations applicable to transportation infrastructure projects, including environmental, safety, and engineer standards.
Experience in report writing, analysis, and compliance procedures.
Preferred:
PE license
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal and technical documents and apply them to practical project scenarios.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively convey compliance requirements to a diverse range of stakeholders.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position typically is $81,000 to $135,000.
