Senior Product Data Analyst

We are looking for a future colleague to join the KYC & Onboarding Analytics team in Amsterdam. As our senior Product Data Analyst (PDA), you will join our mission to proactively work with the Platform Onboarding product team and data teams so that all take data informed actions that drive our (sub)merchants’ businesses.

In this senior role, you will do this by creating a scalable, robust analytical data foundation and building customer centric data products and services on top. You will work together with a variety of different people: Data Engineers, other Data Analysts, Developers, Product Specialists, Commercial team and our customers too.

You are driven to spot opportunities in customer and onboarding product data and know how to enable others to use it effectively. Next to being a data evangelist, you love building self-serve dashboards for internal stakeholders to use for product development and merchant enablement. You don’t like doing the same thing twice: you have an automation mindset and build to benefit many. You know how to design (and maybe even create) highly optimized datasets that can be used to answer numerous questions.

What you’ll do

• You’ll work closely with the product manager and engineers in ideating, building and evaluating new (commercial) data solutions.
• Take ownership over the way we value our projects and highlight the business benefits we foresee as the outcome.
• Build the product and deliver insights for your team and Adyen’s merchants.
• Build strong relationships with key commercial, product, and operational stakeholders with whom we define, run and test the products.
• Connect with a diverse set of platform merchants worldwide, and gain an in-depth understanding of the most complex problems facing the FinTech world today.
• Perform customer and KYC-based analyses for internal teams within Adyen if the need arises.

Who you are

• You are a senior data analyst.
• You are ready to challenge the current way we work and value outcome over output.
• Autonomous working style and critical thinker to push beyond what’s requested.
• Strike a good balance between technical and commercial product understanding.
• Proficient in writing advanced SQL queries.
• Proficient with data analysis using Python.
• Experience with BI tools, Looker specifically.
• Experience with big data tooling, i.e. Pyspark / Hadoop / Airflow.
• Excellent in communication of complex data or technical functionality with the commercial team.
• Eagerness to learn more in and around the field of Analytics.
