Join Ecolab as a Compliance Specialist for Operational Innovation (OI); responsible for ensuring the successful execution of raw material regulatory compliance reviews for all Ecolab business units for North America. In this role, you will be required to maintain awareness of substance compliance programs and requirements.
In this role, you will coordinate substance compliance and supplier approval with Global Regulatory Affairs colleagues managing country inventory programs, biocides, food additives, Kosher, Halal, NSF, drugs, cosmetics, and more. You will also be responsible for execution of raw material and substance creation in SAP platforms resulting from the approval process and in support of other business units. In addition, you will assist with priority and overflow projects, technical specifications analysis, regulatory impact analysis, and other data requisition and maintenance functions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute raw material supplier review and approval for all Ecolab business units, North America
- Maintain awareness of substance compliance programs and requirements
- Coordinate substance compliance with Global Regulatory Affairs colleagues managing programs for country inventories, such as TSCA, DSL, REACH, etc.
- Coordinate supplier approval with Global Regulatory Affairs colleagues managing programs for biocides, food additives, Kosher, Halal, NSF, drugs, cosmetics, and more.
- Execute raw material and substance creation in SAP platforms.
- Assist overflow and priority projects, technical specifications analysis, regulatory impact analysis, data requisitions, and data maintenance.
Basic Requirements
- BA / BS in scientific discipline
- 1 years professional experience, preferably chemistry related
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Toxicology, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and process oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and SharePoint
- Experience with SAP
- Previous experience executing regulatory compliance programs
- Ability to read and interpret technical and regulatory documents
- Ability to understand legal and regulatory requirements, as well as business priorities, and collaborate to identify the best course of action
- Flexibility and adaptability, as well as demonstrated comfort with ambiguity
- Ability to make sound business decisions with incomplete data
- Learning agility as it relates to systems, databases, and business and regulatory processes
- Experience working on a cross-functional team
