Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Skills Instructor to join our team at our Stockton, CA, location. We are interested in candidates who are looking to work for a company that is passionate about changing lives and helping build the essential workforce! This specific program is scheduled to run Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM. The Clinical Medical Assistant Skill Instructor is scheduled to work two to three days a week during the skills portion of the course. Applicants must be available during the hours of this class schedule to be considered for this position.

The Clinical Medical Assistant Skill Instructor’s duties and responsibilities include:

  • Instruct students on the skills associated with the scope of practice for their designated subject.
  • Assists lead instructor to evaluate, report and record student performance and progress.
  • Assists lead instructor with all required skill labs, grading class assignments and exams.
  • Prepares students to go on to an externship.
  • Assists students in developing an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.
  • Provides a professional role model for students.
  • Maintains current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies

This role requires the following qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field preferred.
  • Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math.
  • Front office experience.
  • Back office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, bandaging and more.
  • Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
  • Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards.
  • Comfortable with computers and technology.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Current CPR certification.
