Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off

The role you’ll contribute: Hospital RN / Rounding RN

The Hospital Rounding RN conducts daily rounds with the hospitalist providers to assess and manage patient care, monitoring and documenting patient progress and updating treatment plans as needed. Provides education to patients and families about plan of care. Manages individualized, goal directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and Hospital policies and procedures.

Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops, discusses and communicates a realistic problem list for each patient, in collaboration with each patient/family/significant other in order to address all identified needs
  • Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation provided by the care team to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team to ensure quality care
  • Conducts daily rounds with the hospitalist team to assess and manage patient care
  • Communicates with patients, families and physicians to ensure continuity of care
  • Orders and monitors medication provided to patients in consult with the clinical provider
  • Monitors and documents patient progress and updates treatment plans as needed.
Qualifications


The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed
:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Graduate of a school of nursing
  • 2-5 years acute care experience.
  • Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse
  • BLS certification

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • 5 years of experience.
