Job Description Cash Application Specialist I Locations: San Francisco CA Get To Know The Team The successful candidate will be part of small team of 3 (1 Manger and 2 Individual contributors). Though the team is small in size, with our current process and efficiencies, our team manages all cash receipts for 4 SS&C entities (Advent Software. Inc., Hub Data Inc., Second Street Securities and Innovest Systems, LLC.). The manager is in his 16 years with the company, and the current team member will be entering his 4th year. What You Will Get To Do The daily batch processing of cash receipts, via Check, Wire, ACH and Credit Card payments. Daily reconciliation/balancing of all cash receipts at end of day. Communication between various internal departments and our various banking contacts. Assisting in the monthly, quarterly, and year end accounting close process. Maintaining a thorough, well-organized system of accounting records. Ensuring compliance with all internal controls, policies, and procedures. Certain tasks will require analytical skills, as investigation/research of payments with limited data. Process refunds when required. Investigate NSF/Return/Stop payment items when needed. What You Will Bring Candidate will have high degree of accuracy and detail-oriented. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and external business partners. Proficiency with Excel, Word and Oracle a plus.
