Advent Lutheran Church is Hiring an Office Administrator Near Maple, MN

Office Administrator Job Description

Reports to: Senior Pastor, Elizabeth Felt

Directly Supervises: Volunteers helping with office work

Status: Part Time, 24 hours per week

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Pay: Competitive

Required Background: High School Diploma

Preferred Background: Post-secondary education; experience in office administration or related

Job Summary:

The Office Administrator provides smooth day to day operations of the office.

Hours:

Hours: 24 hours per week in the office with 30 minute unpaid lunch break; pre-approval required to work remotely. Schedule could be 3 or 4 days per week, depending on candidate's preference.

Vacation is detailed in The Advent Lutheran Church Employee Handbook.

Essential Functions:

  • Create and prepare bulletins for worship and other occasional services
  • Work with digital contract company on weekly newsletter, social media, website, etc.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and in person visits in a timely and professional manner
  • Participate in team staff meetings
  • Collaborate with office volunteers
  • Order and maintain office supplies, equipment, zoom licenses, copyrights, licenses, etc.
  • Work and negotiate with various vendors
  • Maintain church membership records/database
  • Facilitates communications and administration within the church community and externally
  • Maintains and oversees Advent’s calendar
  • Coordinate logistics and reservations for facility use across multiple organizations
  • Update outdoor digital sign regularly

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Able to set up tables and chairs for meetings
