  • JOB TITLE Carpentry/Production Assembly REPORTS TO Lead Man LOCATION WGS Service Centers DEPARTMENT NAME Global Services FLSA STATUS Non-Exempt
    PRIMARY PURPOSE:
    This position is responsible using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, work instructions to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble components and pallets for shipping of product.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures for components and pallets.
    • Cut wood with circular saws, table saws, etc.
    • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
    • Build pallets to the specifications necessary for safely shipping product to the customers.
    • Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S protocol.
    • Make sure that schedules are being ran exactly as they are listed.
    • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
    • Turn off equipment when not in use.
    • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
    • Minimum education, job experience, certifications, skills, knowledge and abilities that incumbent must typically have to perform the essential functions of the job acceptably with or without a reasonable accommodation.
    • High school degree or equivalent.
    • Knowledge of basic mechanics. Knowledge of machine testing procedures.
    • Previous carpentry experience.
    Specialized equipment used in this job:
    • Hand tools.
    Other skills and qualifications:
    • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Perform the same task repeatedly.
    PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
