Advanced Technology Systems Company (ATSC) has an opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented, hands-on Software Engineer in Gilbert, AZ. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying computer software used in various areas of the business, including Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR). You are an energetic professional capable of building sophisticated products that offer an intuitive, polished user experience. You will have the opportunity to work on both client-facing and internal applications in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and implement software applications.
• Work on basic to moderate software development tasks.
• Participate in the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, debugging, etc.
• Work as a member of an Agile software development team.
• Assist in producing prototypes and effectively articulate design decisions.
• Assist in gathering and developing functional and technical requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and extensible code.
• Write and test software modules and integrate them with other components.
• Provide excellent verbal and written communication skills for documenting results of analyses, design decisions, and implementations.

Clearance:

• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Desired Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software/Information Systems (SIS).
• 0-2 years of experience in software engineering, programming, etc.
• Experience with JSON & XML development.
• Knowledge of tools such as netBeans, Junit/testNG.
• Possess a product mindset.
• 0-2 years of experience with relational databases.
• 0-2 years of experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) languages, e.g., Java, Python, C , etc.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Work is typically performed in an office setting.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, bend, kneel, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.

• Must have the ability to lift 25-50 pounds.

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
