ATSC has an opportunity for a highly qualified and talented Staff Accountant/AP Specialist, with proven record and performance in the U.S. Government contracting industry, at our Corporate Headquarters in McLean, VA. The candidate for this position should have full knowledge of Accounts Payable processes and procedures.

Responsibilities Will Include, But Not Be Limited To:

• Maintaining proper vendor records within Deltek Costpoint system to ensure proper payment and reporting, to include preparation of 1099s
• Processing employee expense reports and customer invoices
• Making weekly accounts payable payments, including ACH, Domestic and International wires, and checks
• Providing guidance and ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP, FAR, and CAS
• Ensuring all vendor invoices are properly recorded for timely payment
• Assisting with annual and periodic financial audits, Incurred Cost Submission, and DCAA interactions
• Working closely with Project Control team to ensure accurate tracking and reporting on active projects and close out projects
• Assisting with special projects, integration, and due diligence
• Other duties and assignments as required
• Because you will be trained as backup for payroll, experience working in payroll with ADP would be a plus

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High School diploma; Associate’s degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a security clearance
• At least 2 years of experience in finance and accounting in the government contracting industry
• Must be detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills and analytical approach and mindset
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is desired
• Strong communication skills, with ability to effectively interact and communicate, both oral and written, with individuals across the organization

• Work is typically performed in an office setting
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, bend, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.

• Must be able to read, write and speak English
