Advanced Pediatric Associates is Hiring a Medical Records Specialist Near Aurora, CO

Description

Advanced Pediatric Associates is seeking a full-time, 5-day-a-week, Medical Records Specialist responsible for processing Release of Information (ROI) requests in compliance with organization, HIPAA, and State regulations while maintaining the confidentiality of our patients’ protected health information. The ROI specialist responds to phone, EMR, fax, mail, email, and in-person inquiries. The person in this position will distribute incoming patient information and ensure that outgoing requests are handled accurately and promptly. 

Will work 5 weekdays at our Administrative Office located in Aurora, CO (I-225 & Parker Rd). 

Salary Range: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour, based on experience and skills.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of and experience working with HIPAA and PHI guidelines
  • One year experience in the medical records field
  • Technical skills and strong computer skills in MS Office, Adobe (creating and editing) and electronic medical records
  • Must have high attention to detail, good organizational skills, excellent communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to prioritize duties and meet deadlines
  • Experience in the medical records field
