Advanced Dermatology and Skin Surgery is Hiring a Senior Accountant Near Brentwood, TN
UNITED DERM PARTNERS (UDP) is a growing physician practice management company based in Nashville, TN solely focused on dermatology practices. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to support the CFO and Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting Department. This position also performs various administrative and clerical functions as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze and reconcile the general ledger.
- Preparation of monthly GL entries reconciliations related to cash, fixed assets, prepaid assets, inventory, accrued liabilities.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset and associated depreciation schedules, provide a reconciliation monthly, and insure proper recording of new purchases and disposals.
- Review payables entered by AP clerk to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry.
- Assist in the allocation of expenses to each subsidiary.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll journal entries, including appropriate payroll allocations.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly internal reporting and analysis, including practice, location and summary financial information.
- Assist with preparation of annual operating budgets.
- Assist with preparation of documentation for external auditors.
- Assist with the integration of newly acquired subsidiaries.
- Team player focused on supporting the executive needs and timeframes.
- Maintain and strive to improve financial policies and internal controls. Assist with workflow improvement and support strong internal controls.
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year university program
- Preferred: CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
- Preferred: Public Accounting experience
- 3-4 years hands-on accounting experience
- Knowledge of healthcare industry accounting is a plus
- Experience with acquisitions is a plus
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Must be able to multi-task in a professional, fast-paced environment
- Available to work longer hours during peak closes
- Must be an exceptional listener and communicator, with the proven ability to problem-solve issues discussed
- The ability to work independently and in a group setting, high integrity, reasonable and thoughtful judgment, a sense of urgency and analytical and intuitive skills
