Come join our team at Wellness Dental as a Dental Assistant! We're looking for a Dental Assistant that is a team player with a great attitude who is open to feedback as well as an existing strong skill set to join our specialty practice.

Orange Grove Road Tucson, AZ 85741Website:https://www.mywellnessdental.com/Our office places over 1,000 implants per year including highly sought zygomatic and pterygoid implants. Patients from around the country routinely come to our office for the most advanced dental treatment available. We are seeking a highly motivated dental assistant to work on our team of implant specialists. We will teach you skills to put you on the cutting edge of implant dentistry. You will never be bored in our office! You will assist on procedures that change people's lives every day!
The ideal candidate will have expereince with restorative, general, temporaries, sterlization, turning over rooms, and possess excellent customer service!
The Dental Assistant will work alongside the Oral Surgeon and assist them in life changing procedures while comforting and providing a premium patient experience. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, professional individual and have previous surgical experience.

Salary
$22-$27 per hour DOE
Responsibilities
Dental Assistants are required to perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to:
- Ensure the care and welfare of patients in courteous and friendly manner
- Thorough review of medical history, medications, and allergies for adequate care
- Provide chairside assistance, ensuring that the correct instruments and equipment are available
- Liaise with admin team to ensure smooth patient communication and transfer of information
- Prepare operatories for each procedure and break down operatories once complete
Qualifications
- 2 years Dental Assistant minimum experience
- Bilingual English Spanish preferred, not required
- Surgery experience preferred, familiarity with surgical procedures, recovery, and first hand knowledge of what can be expected.
- Dentrix experience preferred
- Experience with implant placement and knowledge of the implant life cycle
- Experience with dentures, removable adjustments, and working with the bite very helpful to have in place
- Lab work and digital workflow experience a huge plus
- A strong familiarity with "general" dentistry (making temporary crowns/bridges, packing cord, taking good impression, etc)
- State-specific Dental Assistant license or certifications required
