Job Summary:
The Production Assembly Operator/Packer will safely control various machines and equipment involved in production. Assigned machines may include resistance welder, single stroke stamping press, assembly equipment, parts sorting and packing.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operates production machinery in accordance with Quality Management System work instructions. Assigned machines may include resistance welder, single stroke stamping press, assembly equipment, parts sorting and packing.
- Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
- Measures finished parts and/or sorting parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and packing specifications.
- Plex Smart Manufacturing Platform records units produced, in-process inspections, downtime, and routing tags in real-time.
- Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure all safety guarding/equipment is in place and working properly.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Takes pride in work performance and the Company.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, or working towards GED.
- At least one year of related experience required.
- Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.50 - $15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
