The Opportunity Our team leads all aspects of data architecture, data engineering, insights and analytics across Creative Cloud and large parts of Digital Media. We are looking for a Principal/Distinguished Engineer to join the team! The ideal candidate is a problem solver, creative, hardworking, and can work independently as well as collaboratively. What you’ll do Design and architect large scale, full stack applications with an emphasis on designing intuitive and delightful user experiences Participate in strategic planning for solutions, services, and product development with senior management Partner with product management to define problems and identify iterative solutions Build reusable architecture for client/user facing apps, build cloud based services for scalability Balance immediate business objectives against long-term architectural vision Provide experienced leadership and technical direction Set vision and direction to inspire and drive continuous improvement of engineering processes Contribute to an engineering-wide culture of code quality and shared responsibility for testing Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of current trends and developments in the industry What you’ll need to succeed BS, BA or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience A mininum of ten years of software development expereince in the high tech software domain A minimum of five years of proven experience in designing and architecting large scale systems Experience across the full stack, shipping SaaS applications Proven experience with a variety of technologies i.e Java, Javascript (React, Node), Typescript, Golang Expereince with cloud services (ex. AWS, Azure, Google) and database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB) Knowledge of non-relational databases Cassandra, Graph Databases, SOLR, Kafka a plus -
