Adult & Child Health is an integrated healthcare provider in Central Indiana. Providing high-quality, affordable care including primary care, behavioral health services, substance abuse treatment, mobile crisis response, community-based services, homeless outreach, school-based treatment, and more. 

About this role:  This is the final stage of A&C’s building of services in the crisis continuum. This is an entry level staff nurse position. This role will allow clients to not only have a person to call and a person to respond, but now a place to go. You will assess client's coming in for crisis intervention and ensure appropriate next level of care.

The Location and hours: A&C is based in Central Indiana. For this position, we service the surrounding counties. Hours for this role are Thurs - Mon 2pm - 10pm 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Perform all appropriate nursing assessments per service line requirements, utilizing a high level of clinical competence
• Work alongside the Crisis Team
• Evaluate the client/patient’s physical condition and the need for services
• Ability to manage crisis situations with patience and empathy
• Consult with a physician/advanced practice provider as necessary or advocate for medical services through managed care organizations
• Administer and oversee administration of medications via various methods according to service line requirements; Monitor medication compliance in regard to State Regulatory standards 

Requirements

• This is an entry level staff nurse position
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required
• BLS, CPR, and First Aid required
• Required Indiana State Registered Nurse (RN) 
• Ability to operate in multiple EMR’s, the full suite of Microsoft Office products, and other clinically driven software
• Must hold a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and provide own, insured, transportation
