Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

Location: ADS Headquarters (Virginia Beach, VA)

ADS, Inc. is looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join it's IT Department. In this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) assisting internal ADS, Inc. employees in the installation, maintenance, and general support of systems including laptops, printers, and desk phones. This individual will be responsible for helping employees with any technical challenges they may experience. Applicants must have a have strong set of communication skills, and knowledge of Windows 10, Mac OSX, Office 365, Adobe, Java, and other similar computer software.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the installation, maintenance, and general support of systems including but not limited to laptops, printers, and desk phones.
  • Troubleshooting general Windows 10 and MAC OSX problems
  • Troubleshooting Office 365, Adobe, and Java related problems.
  • Imaging computers and maintaining on-hand inventory.
  • Responding to Helpdesk tickets in a timely manner and following up as needed.
  • May help perform user profile backups when switching equipment
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within our environment.
  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Will assist in a variety of IT implementations and projects.
  • Performs a variety of tasks.
  • Works under general supervision.

Minimum Requirements

  • May require an Associate’s Degree or its equivalent with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • CompTia A and Security certifications preferred.

  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Strong self-management skills as well as ability to work as a contributing member of a multi-discipline team.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to easily collaborate with fellow team members.
  • Detail-oriented and collaborative. You thrive in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Hunger to learn and grow. Educate yourself on the latest technologies and best practices.
