ADS is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Representative - Federal

Job Title : Inside Sales Representative - FEDERAL Location : (ADS HQ Not Remote) Virginia Beach, VA RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Monitor bid boards and provide response on all applicable solicitations
  • Oversee and consult on directly awarded customer-specific contracts
  • Will be working with both small and multimillion-dollar contracts across a spectrum of customers
  • Work directly with KO on keeping current contracts up to date with any product changes & complete modifications to contracts as necessary
  • Work with Regional Account Manager on creating contracts that are applicable for customers mission set
  • Advertise all direct contracts across customer base to direct more business to the contract

CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT

  • Develop understanding of existing territory and whitespace for targeted growth
  • Source products and develop quotes based on customer requests
  • Become familiar with partner vendors within the given territory and make product suggestions based on customer / mission needs
  • Research new products based on mission set and identify new vendors as needed
  • Negotiate with vendors on pricing & delivery
  • Make recommendations on contracts or other funding vehicles
  • Some cold calling will be required when prospecting to find new customers and contacts within the territory.
  • Responsible for expanding sales within existing accounts.

CONTRACTS MANAGEMENT

ADMINISTRATIVE & SOFT SKILLS

  • Set up new customers, suppliers & accounts as appropriate
  • Opportunity management through Salesforce
  • Order booking & export Compliance review
  • Post order follow-up
  • Responsible for hitting monthly KPI's based on customer and supplier engagement.
  • Candidates must be detail oriented and HIGHTLY organized
  • Provide legendary customer service by responding to requests via phone, email, or in person and be able to demonstrate a track record of great follow-through.
  • Must be able to develop excellent relationships with customer base while still managing high volume of processing activities

HOURS : 8 to 5 on the phone and email contacting customers, but extended hours are necessary when the customer needs arise.

Some travel may be required for Trade Shows and occasional customer meetings.

TRAVEL : 5-10%

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

  • 2 years of sales experience, non-call center telephone sales desired (B-to-B or B-to-G preferred).
  • Must be able to operate in a completely unscripted environment 2 years of customer service experience 2 years' experience MS Office, particularly Excel & Outlook.
  • Must be able to creatively assess problems and provide solutions. Bachelor's Degree required though prior military or government experience may be substituted at hiring manager's discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be willing and able to talk to new people with ease.
  • Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented and organized, able to manage competing priorities with relative comfort.
  • Please be aware, all candidates accepting a position in Inside Sales will be expected to remain in their position for a minimum of two years prior to being allowed to apply for an internal transfer.
