ADS Manufacturing Ohio LLC is Hiring a Material Handler Near Middletown, OH
Purpose of role: The purpose of this role is to move material and components efficiently throughout the Weld, Assembly and Shipping Departments. The person hired for this role will need to understand fully the flow of the Weld, Assembly and Shipping Departments and always be there when needed.
Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of company fork lift certification.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Operate fork truck to move/take away product in the Assembly Department after inspection.
- Operate fork truck to move/take away product in the Weld Department.
- Operate fork truck to load trucks with completed racks.
- Operate fork truck to unload trucks with material/components, and be able to efficiently stage or store material/components.
- Collect information on material and components received so it can be entered into the database.
- Assist in implementation of continuous improvement activities.
- Assure that all safety procedures are being followed.
- Assist in the Assembly Department completing racks when there is no required material handling present.
- Perform all other duties as requested.
Job requirements:
- At least 2 years experience in material handling/fork truck driving
- Excellent communication skills with all levels
- Ability to multi-task and move product as necessary
- Experience with lean manufacturing techniques a plus
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to determine quality issues and relay that information effectively
- Ability to work in an ever changing work environment where things change rapidly
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Self motivated and goal driven with a track record of success
- Ability to determine priorities
- Strong problem solving skills in a dynamic environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
