Job Description
The cashier receives payment from customers and records them in an accurate manner. It will be your duty to present yourself in a professional manner, while also answering phone calls and forwarding them to the appropriate recipient. This position provides assistance to the business office. You will be a vital role in the dealership experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Receive cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers and record the amounts received.
· Utilize the dealership software to handle all invoices in the system as necessary.
· Ensure accurate documentation, this means verifying signatures, observing the different types of invoices, and confirming funds.
· Balance your log, at the end of your shift it will be your duty to balance your drawer and confirm all the invoices have been completely logged, received, and handled as necessary.
· Work with department managers to keep dealership running smoothly.
· Refer customers who have additional questions to the appropriate colleague.
· Handle customer complaints with integrity and grace; and take or refer the complaining customer to the appropriate individual for further communication.
· Collate or scan files as necessary.
· Perform receptionist duties as requested.
· Perform other duties as assigned by management.
· Must be willing to work a flexible schedule when required.
· Complete any training courses assigned to you in a timely manner.
· Maintain a clean and professional environment.
· Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
